12.06.20 : Ricardo Lemvo y La Makina Loca – Dos Mulatas

Good day dear blog readers, listeners, followers ¡y todos los amantes de la musica Cubana!

Today we have something a little different in our blog…
A nice Son Montuno composition, made in California with African flavour!

Today’s composition is by Ricardo Lemvo y la Makina Loca, based in California.
Ricardo, an Angolan born in Congo, who at the age of 15 moved to the USA for the continuation of his academic studies, later graduating the California state university.

In 1990, thought not having any education in music or arts, Lemvo formed his band, La Makina Loca, quickly gaining local popularity among the Latino community and other fans of Afro Caribbean music.
International fame came with the release of the band’s first album, “Tata Masamba”, in 1996, and their appearance in the 1998 film “dance with me”.

Lemvo and his crazy machine released seven albums so far, with our composition for today coming from their fourth one, “Ay, Valeria!”, released in 2003.

So, without further ado, here it is!
And Always remember… ¡Sigue disfrutando la musica Cubana!
