27.03.20 : Aroma de Cuba – Sin Buscarse Problemas

Good day dear blog readers, listeners, followers ¡y todos los amantes de la musica Cubana!

Today we shall listen to a very nice and suave Timba by a little known Cuban septeto named “Aroma de Cuba”.
The band is yet once more one of those who never made it beyond the release of one CD – in this case, “Luz Propia” from 2015.

This Timba is very much to my taste, and I hope that you will enjoy it as well!
And Always remember… ¡Sigue disfrutando la musica Cubana!

20.03.20 : Paulito FG – La Admiradora live!

Good day dear blog readers, listeners, followers ¡y todos los amantes de la musica Cubana!

Today we shall enjoy a live performance by Paulito FG at Lima, Peru, from back in 2008, a time before the current mess which got most concerts shifted online or cancelled altogether 🙁

Hopefully, this will help you lighted up a bit during these uneasy times…

So without further ado, here it is!
And Always remember… ¡Sigue disfrutando la musica Cubana!

13.03.20 : Javier con su Ire – Son Ire

Good day dear blog readers, listeners, followers ¡y todos los amantes de la musica Cubana!

Today we shall enjoy a very nice and suave Son Montuno composition by little known Cuban group named Javier con su Ire.
Up until recently, when internet became more or less widespread in Cuba, it was not rare for groups of young and talented Cuban musicians to record a few singles or a CD at best, then disappear into the unknown…
For every young group that managed to break through and become well known internationally or even nation wide, there are several that didn’t make it past the local level.

The group we are going to listen to today recorded a CD called “Descubreme” in 2003, and unfortunately nothing else since then.

So without further ado, here it is!
And Always remember… ¡Sigue disfrutando la musica Cubana!

06.03.20: Los Van Van – Soy Normal, Natural

Good day to all blog followers, readers listeners, ¡y todos los amantes de la musica Cubana!

Yet another great song by Los Van Van got re-released as a cover version a few days ago…
It is decent, buy IMHO doesn’t even get close to the might of the original and the talent of El Tren que nunca se para.

So, which one do you prefer, Mayito or Yasser?

And Always remember… ¡Sigue disfrutando la musica Cubana!

And live…
