{"id":731,"date":"2017-01-13T12:00:12","date_gmt":"2017-01-13T12:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=731"},"modified":"2017-01-13T12:00:12","modified_gmt":"2017-01-13T12:00:12","slug":"13-01-17-xiomara-laugart-un-amor-asi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=731","title":{"rendered":"13.01.17 : Xiomara Laugart &#8211; Un Amor Asi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good day dear readers, listeners and blog followers!<\/p>\n<p>Today I present you a fine Timba composition by an artist mostly known in the genre of La Nueva Trova and political song\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Xiomara Laugart.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/latinjazznet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Xiomara-Laugart.jpg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Starting her musical career in 1979, participating in the Red Dianthus political song\u00a0festival in Berlin.<br \/>\nA year later she won the 3rd place in the prestigious Concurso Adolfo Guzman de Musica Cubana in Cuba, and 2 years later took 3rd place in the Red Dianthus, which on that year took place in Sochi, USSR.<br \/>\nOver the years Xiomara had been a member of several music ensembles, traveled to Europe, Africa and various countries of the Caribbean, performed with such notable figures as Pablo Milanes and Silvio Rodriguez, and even participated in the films <i>Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights<\/i>\u00a0and <i>Para\u00edso Bajo las Estrellas<\/i>\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years Xiomara produced 17 albums, with the song presented today being from the 2010 album &#8220;Que Manera de Quererte&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Disfruten!<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/83dWivGFKZw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good day dear readers, listeners and blog followers!
