{"id":717,"date":"2016-12-23T11:07:46","date_gmt":"2016-12-23T11:07:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=717"},"modified":"2016-12-23T11:07:46","modified_gmt":"2016-12-23T11:07:46","slug":"23-12-16-sixto-llorente-ya-no-hace-falta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=717","title":{"rendered":"23.12.16 : Sixto Llorente &#8211; Ya No Hace Falta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good day dear readers, listeners and blog followers!<\/p>\n<p>Today we shall enjoy a timba classic, originally by <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=129\">Bamboleo<\/a>, but performed by a different, yet not any less wonderful, artist.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/a4-images.myspacecdn.com\/images03\/2\/56cb8bf5965e4f3ebfd0547157cb83ef\/600x600.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sixto Llorente Terry, most well known as &#8220;el Indio&#8221;, is a true Sonero singer that started his professional career in his home town of Santa Clara in 1973.<br \/>\nHe started by performing traditional Cuban music such as Son, Guajira, Cha Cha and others, later also expanding his repertoire to more contemporary genres such as Songo, and later on, Timba.<br \/>\nTogether with Orquesta Aliamen he participated in various music festivals throughout the country, such as the\u00a0\u201cAdolfo Guzm\u00e1n\u201d festival, \u201cFestival del Cha Cha Cha, \u201cCreador Musical\u201d, \u201cAl Son de Mayar\u00ed\u201d and the\u00a0\u201cBenny Mor\u00e9\u201d festival, where he received the Grand Prix.<\/p>\n<p>This wonderful singer is a great example of a talent in high demand, and has worked with many leading groups such as <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=40\">Manolito y Su Trabuco<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=49\">Tumbao Habana<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=82\">Pupy y LQSS<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=164\">Habana de Primera<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=69\">Mamborama<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=569\">Azucar Negra<\/a>\u00a0and in recent years, the grand <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=29\">Orquesta Reve<\/a>.<br \/>\nHe also won a Latin Grammy in 2001.<br \/>\nIn march 2010, el Indio founded his own group, Son del Indio, which since then has released the CDs\u00a0Lo que Sucede Conviene and Caminanado Voy.<\/p>\n<p>Today we shall enjoy the wonderful timba classic &#8220;Ya No Hace Falta&#8221; which el Indio performed with Las Nuevas Estrellas de Areito in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Disfruten!<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dXbpVHs_xtg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good day dear readers, listeners and blog followers!
