{"id":666,"date":"2016-09-30T07:36:29","date_gmt":"2016-09-30T07:36:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=666"},"modified":"2016-10-07T14:24:43","modified_gmt":"2016-10-07T14:24:43","slug":"30-09-16-adonis-y-osain-del-monte-cachita","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=666","title":{"rendered":"30.09.16 : Adonis y Osain Del Monte &#8211; Cachita"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good day dear readers and blog followers!<\/p>\n<p>Today I present you something a bit different, compared to the usual line I follow in this blog, which mostly includes Son, Songo and Timba.<br \/>\nToday we shall be enjoying another beautiful side of Cuban culture, the so called &#8220;Afro-Cuban&#8221; side, which sends a long line back to the roots of Cuban culture in Africa&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Today we shall be enjoying a composition by a talented group of youths right from the streets of La Habana, that will play a mix of Rumba and other Afro Cuban music&#8230; these are Adonis y Osain del Monte.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/atticindependent.ch\/sites\/default\/files\/blog\/Adonis-y-Osain-del-Monte-Artwork.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This group is named after the Orisha (Yoruba deity) Osain, saint \\ spirit \\ &#8220;god&#8221; of herbs and natural medicine, who knows all of nature&#8217;s secrets, and with his small ear can hear everything, even a leaf falling from a tree&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The group was founded on July 19th, 2013 in La Habana by a group of highly talented young musicians playing in some of the top Afro Cuban ensembles in Habana, such as Yoruba Andabo, Clave y Guaguanco and Conjunto Folklorico Nacional, and is lead by vocalist, dancer, percussionist and director\u00a0Adonis Andres Panter Calderon.<br \/>\nOne of the most interesting and wonderful\u00a0things in this group, at least for me, which\u00a0makes my eyes as happy as my ears, is the fact that the group&#8217;s members are as good of dancers as they are musicians;\u00a0as you will see in their beautiful clips, there definitely is as much beautiful dancing in the clips as there is beautiful music!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-s74Fcl4IzNc\/V2JzWVTOXII\/AAAAAAAAAi0\/TRtRRP9aflQm9vTagDmSAFULMbUpwRvGgCLcB\/s1600\/13407276_984305571616526_3332073602506583460_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The group has recently released a disc named &#8220;La Negra&#8221;, which contains much Afro Cuban music and interesting fusions with other styles of Cuban music such as Son, Bolero and Timba; the title track is a good example.<\/p>\n<p>Recently the group has been appearing more and more with top artists from the primera linea such as <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=12\">Klimax<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=164\">Alexander Abreu<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=370\">El Nino y La Verdad<\/a>, adding lots of Sabor to these marvelous compositions (such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=A2g7Mhxb8Gs\">here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>So, for today we have a very nice composition called &#8220;Cachita&#8221;, released in 2014.<br \/>\nI advise watching as much as listening for full enjoyment&#8230; Disfruten!<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5wsmX_g9ME8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good day dear readers and blog followers!
