{"id":413,"date":"2015-02-20T11:41:23","date_gmt":"2015-02-20T11:41:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=413"},"modified":"2019-03-08T10:43:44","modified_gmt":"2019-03-08T10:43:44","slug":"20-02-15-pancho-amat-fito-el-fotografo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=413","title":{"rendered":"20.02.15 : Pancho Amat &#8211; Fito, el Fotografo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good day dear readers.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, I came across a very nice album called &#8220;Son X Tres&#8221; by the wonderful Tresero Pancho Amat.<\/p>\n<p>The album was great, but one song caught my eye, and the name is in the title; It caught my eye because I have been doing photography for 8 years now, with this being my main hobby outside Cuban music &amp; dancing&#8230; so the song strikes my right in the heart \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Leonel Francisco Amat, known as Pancho Amat, is a teacher by education, but more importantly a great Cuban tresero, arranger and composer.<br \/>\nHis musical career started in 1971 with the establishment of Grupo Manguere, named after an ancient musical instrument of the people indigenous to south and central America.<br \/>\nThe group toured over 25 countries.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cubaabsolutely.com\/show_articles\/large\/pancho_001.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"504\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After 15 years with the group, Pancho went on to a solo career, working together with such artists as Oscar De Leon, Pablo Milanes and Silvio Rodriguez, touring Europe, north America and Japan.<br \/>\nPancho is also a winner of many musical awards, such as Cubadisco&#8217;s national prize (1995) and best traditional music album of the year (2002).<\/p>\n<p>So, have a good time with this wonderful Son composition!<\/p>\n<p>Disfruten!<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bnKd2Kazs9g\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good day dear readers.
