{"id":351,"date":"2014-09-12T11:02:36","date_gmt":"2014-09-12T11:02:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=351"},"modified":"2014-09-12T11:02:36","modified_gmt":"2014-09-12T11:02:36","slug":"12-09-14-orquesta-sonolux-asi-no","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=351","title":{"rendered":"12.09.14 : Orquesta Sonolux &#8211; Asi No"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good day my friends!<\/p>\n<p>This week I am glad to present you a &#8220;Family orchestra&#8221; from Los Angeles, USA.<br \/>\nWhy &#8220;family orchestra&#8221;? because this band was formed in 1955 by the Pulgar family (from Ecuador) in 1955.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-K1xrVa_i1N0\/TyB5Is6MguI\/AAAAAAAAAO8\/dLJSozBgzA0\/s760\/1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"760\" height=\"509\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The band has 12 members, and plays various rhythms and styles of music, most being Latin, but this is not exclusive (they also play Jazz, for example).<br \/>\nToday the band is run by some of the original members, but also some of their children, and performed all over the USA, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru and Canada.<br \/>\nThe band also has their\u00a0own recording company and studio.<\/p>\n<p>Although not usually their style, the song &#8220;Asi No&#8221; sounded very &#8220;Timba influenced&#8221; to me, and IMO, managed to incorporate the feel of contemporary Cuban music quite well.<\/p>\n<p>Disfruten!<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hQmBQuN-1Vk\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good day my friends!
