Wil hails from a small village near Pinar del Rio, Cuba, and demonstrated interest in music since an early age, studying at the local school of arts as a child.
\nHis professional career started in 1988 with Orquesta Cumbre, later joining Orlando “Maraca” Valle, with whom he got a Grammy nomination in 2002.<\/p>\n
