{"id":1169,"date":"2019-01-11T11:13:35","date_gmt":"2019-01-11T11:13:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=1169"},"modified":"2019-01-11T11:14:32","modified_gmt":"2019-01-11T11:14:32","slug":"11-01-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=1169","title":{"rendered":"11.01.19: Havana de Primera &#8211; La Venenosa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good day dear blog readers, listeners, followers \u00a1y todos los amantes de la musica Cubana!<\/p>\n<p>Today I finally get to cover one of my favorites from recent years, which came out back in 2013, but surprisingly wasn&#8217;t available for listening online with good quality until recently.<br \/>\nIt is also a beloved composition for dancing my favorite dance &#8211; Son Cubano.<br \/>\nIf you&#8217;ve been following Cuban music releases from the last 5 years, you should have guessed by now the composition I&#8217;m referring to&#8230; the wonderful &#8220;Venenosa&#8221; by <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=164\">Habana de Primera<\/a> !<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bbb.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1173\" src=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bbb.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" srcset=\"https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bbb.jpg 900w, https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bbb-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bbb-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bbb-624x351.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;El son es lo m\u00e1s sublime, para el alma divertir&#8230; se debiera de morir, quien por bueno no lo estime&#8230;&#8221; goes the classic line from &#8220;Suavecito&#8221; by the true treasure of Cuban music, <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=448\">Septeto Nacional de Ignacio Pineiro<\/a>&#8230; and for me it is quite true.<br \/>\nIf there is a social dance style which I love most, with which I fell in love at first sight and which is danced to music that always ignites the spark in my eyes and melts my heart, then it is Son Cubano.<\/p>\n<p>Son, both music and dance, has played a major role in the creation and\u00a0dissemination of Cuban music and dance on a global scale during the previous and current centuries.<br \/>\nFrom a musical stand point, all that goes under the umbrella term &#8220;salsa&#8221;, and a good portion of that which constitutes both Songo and Timba, own their structure, rhythms and melodies to the genre of Son and its derivative, Son Montuno.<br \/>\nRegarding the dance, many Cuban and Latin \\ Caribbean social couple dances owe their structure and basic elements to Son, especially what we mostly dance on dance floors today, <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=219\">Casino<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qYTHPx_H6Wc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>For the social dancer Son can be a great teacher and educator of what Cuban \\ Latin \\ Caribbean dancing is all about&#8230; rhythm, musicality, bodymotion, elegance, flow, the interaction &amp; communication between the partners and the ever so laid-back groove of the anticipated bass line, which is always reflected in the dance.<\/p>\n<p>Personally for me, it is very nice to see that although Son has been with us since the early XX century (and Son Montuno since the late 1930s&#8230;), contemporary artists continue creating such fine works of art as the composition I gladly share with you all here today&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So, without further ado, here is this modern masterpiece by the wonderful Alexander and his band.<br \/>\nAnd remember&#8230; \u00a1sigue disfrutando la musica Cubana!<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/w3w4H7kt29A\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good day dear blog readers, listeners, followers \u00a1y todos los amantes de la musica Cubana!
