{"id":1075,"date":"2018-09-14T09:07:41","date_gmt":"2018-09-14T09:07:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=1075"},"modified":"2018-09-14T09:07:41","modified_gmt":"2018-09-14T09:07:41","slug":"14-09-18-angelito-ramirez-y-el-tren-bala-arma-de-doble-filo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=1075","title":{"rendered":"14.09.18: Angelito Ramirez y El Tren Bala &#8211; Arma de Doble Filo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good day dear blog followers, readers, listeners \u00a1y a todos los amantes de la musica Cubana!<\/p>\n<p>Today we shall be having a great time listening (and maybe dancing) to a beautiful romantic Timba composition by ex <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=193\">Mayimbe<\/a> singer, Angelito Ramirez and his band, el Tran Bala.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/z1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1076\" src=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/z1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"730\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/z1.png 730w, https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/z1-300x158.png 300w, https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/z1-624x328.png 624w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Angel Ramirez Ballesteros &#8220;angelito&#8221; is one of the most important and influential figures in Timba residing outside of Cuba.<br \/>\nBorn in the poor neighborhood of Barrios Altos in Lima, Peru, on May 24th 1982, angelito used music to find refuge from the hardships of a life full of need and deprivation since his childhood.<br \/>\nBeing used to working hard to realize his goals and dreams, Angel started his musical career as singer and band leader of a band made of other teens and young people from his barrio, called &#8220;Los Trabucos de la Salsa&#8221;.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">From there played major roles in such mixed Cuban-Peruvian bands as\u00a0DFarandula and A1-Band, before hitting his first major success in 2010, becoming one of the founding members of Orquesta Mayimbe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/z2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1077\" src=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/z2-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"625\" height=\"352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/z2-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/z2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/z2-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/z2-624x351.jpg 624w, https:\/\/salsayo.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/z2.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As the lead singer of Mayimbe, Angel was the driving force behind over 1\/2 of the songs on the orquesta&#8217;s first, and so far, most well known and much loved, album, &#8220;De la Habana a Peru&#8221;, and thus earned well deserved worldwide fame.<br \/>\nIn 2013 Mayimbe had their infamous split, resulting in the departure of over half of the its member, Angelito included.<br \/>\nAngel went on to form his own project &#8211; Angelito Ramirez y su Tren Bala, releasing a wonderful album called &#8220;Mi Historia&#8221; (mentioned <a href=\"http:\/\/salsalust.com\/blogs\/cuban_music_che\/?p=721\">here<\/a> before), from which today&#8217;s composition comes.<br \/>\nAs one who enjoys romantic Timba, I find here a very good balance between tempo, variation, improvisation, groove and energy.<\/p>\n<p>So, here it is!<br \/>\nAnd remember&#8230; \u00a1sigue disfrutando la musica Cubana!<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QD98MRzkkmc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good day dear blog followers, readers, listeners \u00a1y a todos los amantes de la musica Cubana!
